Jim Murphy

Jim Murphy is a Distance Learning Specialist with over 30 years of experience with distance learning and telecommunications. Starting with the Commonwealth’s initiative to build a collaborative graduate engineering program, Jim has worked with educational partners at George Mason, Old Dominion University, University of Virginia, and Virginia Tech.

Dean McInTyre

Education Technology Specialist

Dean McIntyre served as Chief Technology Officer for the University of Virginia for 24 years, managing the School of Continuing Education and Professional Studies networks and servers statewide.  He also worked for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as System Analyst and System Administrator, and for PBS.

Holly Gillcash

Online Learning Specialist

Holly Gillcash has over 15 years of experience in higher education at UCLA, George Mason University, and most recently, with Virginia Tech’s nationally-ranked graduate online Master of Information Technology program. Holly holds a M.Ed. with a concentration in technology in education from Harvard University.

Dr. Denis Gracanin

Dr. Denis Gracanin is an Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science, Virginia Tech. His research interests include human computer interaction, IoT, and smart built environments.
